Introduction PitchDeckHost.com ("PitchDeckHost," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you provide while using our website and document-hosting service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your choices regarding your information. It applies whether you interact with PitchDeckHost directly or through an authorized third-party platform, application, integration, or service that communicates with PitchDeckHost on your behalf (an "Integrated Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, including through an Integrated Service, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular processing activity, PitchDeckHost will seek that consent separately. 2. Information We Collect Information You Provide When you register for a PitchDeckHost account, we collect information that you voluntarily provide, including: • Your name • Your email address • Your account password (stored in securely hashed form; we do not store plain-text account passwords) If you use PitchDeckHost through an Integrated Service before creating or claiming a registered PitchDeckHost account, we may receive and store identifiers or authentication information supplied by or derived from that Integrated Service as necessary to authenticate the request, recognize a returning user, associate content with the correct user or integration context, prevent abuse, and operate the integration. Depending on the Integrated Service, this may include a provider-specific user identifier, team, workspace, brand, organization, or similar context identifier, and security or authentication tokens used to validate requests. Authentication tokens are used for security and integration purposes and are not intended to serve as your PitchDeckHost account password. When you upload, publish, submit, transfer, or otherwise provide documents to the Service, directly or through an Integrated Service, we also store: • Uploaded documents • Document names • Document thumbnails and converted images created by the Service • User-selected or Service-generated document access codes (called "Pitchdeck Codes" within the Service), stored using encryption or other appropriate protective measures Automatically Collected Information Like most websites, our servers may automatically record certain technical information when you visit the Service, including: • Internet Protocol (IP) address • Date and time of requests • Requested pages • Browser type • Operating system • Diagnostic information contained in standard server logs This information is used primarily for security, troubleshooting, maintenance, abuse prevention, and operation of the Service. 3. How We Use Your Information We use your information to: • Create and manage your account, if you choose to create or claim one. • Create and maintain a provisional or internal identity when necessary to support an Integrated Service. • Authenticate requests and associate activity with the correct user or integration context. • Process uploaded or externally submitted documents. • Host and display documents. • Generate document previews and converted images. • Operate and maintain the Service. • Respond to customer inquiries. • Detect abuse, fraud, or unauthorized use. • Improve reliability, performance, and security. We do not sell your personal information. 4. Document Privacy Documents uploaded to PitchDeckHost remain under your control. We do not review documents for business purposes, evaluate their contents, or claim ownership of them. Documents become accessible only through the sharing methods provided by the Service, including the user-selected Access Code ("Pitchdeck Code"). You are solely responsible for determining: • what documents you upload; • whether those documents contain confidential or proprietary information; • who receives your Pitchdeck Code; and • whether additional legal protections (such as non-disclosure agreements) should be used before sharing documents. 5. Disclosure of Information We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose information only when: • required by law; • required by court order or subpoena; • necessary to investigate fraud or abuse; • necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of PitchDeckHost, our users, or others; or • necessary in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar business transaction. 6. Data Security We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect the information stored on our systems. Examples include: • encrypted storage of Pitchdeck Codes; • secure storage of account passwords; • controlled access to servers; • industry-standard encryption where appropriate. However, no Internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security. 7. Data Retention We retain account information, integration identifiers, provisional identity records, and uploaded or externally submitted documents for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, provide the integration or hosting functionality requested by the user, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce applicable terms or policies, or until the information is deleted or removed in accordance with available Service procedures. Certain server logs and backup copies may remain for reasonable periods following deletion for operational, security, legal, or disaster recovery purposes. 8. Cookies PitchDeckHost currently uses only those cookies or session technologies that are reasonably necessary for the operation of user logins and the functionality of the Service. We do not currently use advertising cookies or behavioral tracking cookies. If our practices change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly. 9. Children's Privacy The Service is intended for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we may remove that information. 10. PitchDeckHost uses that information to authenticate the integration, receive and process your content, recognize returning users, associate content with the appropriate user or context, provide the requested hosting functionality, maintain security, and troubleshoot the integration. Information that you provide directly to an Integrated Service remains subject to that provider's own terms and privacy practices. PitchDeckHost is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party services, except for PitchDeckHost's own collection, use, storage, and disclosure of information after it is received by PitchDeckHost. 11. Changes to this Privacy Policy We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will become effective when posted on PitchDeckHost.com unless a later effective date is stated. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. 12.
